In this video, Eliza guides you through the drawing apps that she uses-from Autodesk to Adobe-and how to make the most of your tablet.
Whether you’re a designer, business owner or hobbyist, take a look at this guide on how to draw digital illustrations with your iPad Pro.Įliza Osmo, an artist and illustrator from the 99designs community, uses her iPad Pro to create gorgeous works of art and increase her productivity. Its large, high-resolution screen coupled with the pressure-sensitive Apple Pencil and an abundance of creativity-focused apps have made it the perfect way to draw, sketch, hand-letter or paint digitally and professionally-no matter where you are. If so, then consider a paid app like Procreate. The iPad Pro has become an essential creative tool for illustrators, artists and designers around the world. If you are just dabbling in digital art, start with Sketchbook to see if it is something that you will even keep up with. At least, I have yet to find a way and I have Googled! You absolutely cannot import brushes.Īt first glance, the gallery is a little bizarre, but you will figure out how to use and organize. You won’t be able to make custom brushes to extent that you can in the desktop version or probably Procreate. You can move them around in a makeshift way, but there’s no simple favoriting that can be done. I don’t do anything with perspective at this time.Īnyway, the drawbacks of Sketchbook are: the inability to really section off your favorite brushes. They also have a few more tools for shapes and perspectives. I like some of the functions that don’t yet exist in Fresco, like the symmetry function. I could use the pixel and live brushes, but right now, I don’t. Sketchbook is what I started using and will most likely use again, as I really only draw in vector in Fresco.
You’d get the first six months free as a trial. But, if not, the app is free and really nice.
If you want to download extra Photoshop brushes, and a few other relatively minor things, you’d need to upgrade for Fresco. Thank you for reporting spam and other rule-breaking content.
